The prophecy of PCWorld in a report from Tokyo where the MacWorld Expo has just closed. Amongst the stands at the Apple fair, Martyn Williams tells us, there were practically nothing but colored peripherals: keyboards, mice, loudspeakers, and with peripherals also accessories of all kinds that had nothing or almost nothing to do with computers, from radios to plastic containers. All strictly preceded by an "i", a prefix that seems indispensable to boost sales.
"And the manufacturers of PC accessories – Williams warns – don't think they live in a free land. Even in the Wintel world, users have now decided that they "color better". So many manufacturers decided on the basis of this perspective to produce colored objects and even accessories to make colored peripherals that originally weren't.
