Twitter Bookmarks are coming. Many Twitter users have found it inconvenient to use the Favorites button for saving. Another problem with using the Twitter Favorites button that the action is made public. To solve these problems, Twitter Bookmarks and Twitter bookmarks are now active.
Twitter has just publicly launched its function TwitterBookmarks (Bookmarks) that has been tested since the end of last year, following the project HackWeek of the dubbed company #SaveForLater. The desire to save content for later reading something that people have constantly asked for because of the amount of news circulating on Twitter, often including links to longer articles that you don't have time to read at that time, all associated with an equal desire for privacy in this regard.
Twitter Bookmarks to save even unloved content
Many Twitter users have found it inconvenient to use the Favorites button to save tweets due to the nature of the tweet's content.
In the shape of a heart, the button indicates a positive feeling and not always the case. There are often times when you need to return to a tweet later, without reporting that you like or support the content it includes.
Even Facebook had faced a similar problem around its "Like" button. Even if users have asked for an option dislike, the social network eventually launched emoticons for other feelings, such as anger, sadness, laughter and love, to complete the "I like it".
Twitter obviously doesn't need to complicate its product with buttons sentiment, but needs a way to save things you don't "love".
Twitter Bookmarks to save tweets privately
Another problem with using the Twitter Favorites button that the action is made public.
The original poster is notified that you liked its tweet, your favorite visible to anyone on Twitter interacts with that tweet and your list of Favorites accessible to everyone from your Twitter profile.
The public nature of favorites has caused problems for some high-profile Twitter users in the past, such as when Melania Trump preferred a tweet that seemed to imply that she hated her husband (perhaps by accident); or when other high-profile individuals – like Harry Styles or Ted Cruz – had marked porn as their favorite.
Some Twitter users have circumvented the problem of not having a way to save tweets privately using different methods such as by sending tweets to yourself, saving them in a notebook, sending them by e-mail, opening them in a new tab and other various tricks.
Starting today, there will be no need to resort to these hacks, because tweets can now be saved privately.
How to use Twitter Bookmarks
To use the function, click on the new "Share" icon located to the right of the heart button, from here, you will have the possibility to share the tweet in various ways, even saving it among bookmarks, bookmarks.
