A few hours after the actual launch of the iPhone kit, Tom Tom has also released a new version of his navigation software.
The application (available as always on the App Store: here the version with the maps of Italy and here the one with the maps of Europe), now in version 1.1, aims to address some of the most annoying problems detected by users in the first release. In particular, GPS technology is substantially improved, says the Dutch company, which now shows more precisely where you are. When used in the car, GPS follows the path you are following more accurately. Addresses and abbreviations are managed more efficiently thanks to a new engine for 'navigation to a contact'.
