The first Chinese iPhone 4 clone did not wait long: it's called Air Phone No. 4 and already available in China at the modest price of 100 dollars less than a week after the launch of the new Apple smartphone. Aesthetically, the Chinese clone is very similar to the original model, but the manufacturer went further: the Apple and iOS-style graphical interface also underwent the cloning process, at least judging from the photographs circulating on the net. According to the first reports, Air Phone No. 4 would also be equipped with an app that reproduces the features of FaceTime for video calls via Wi-Fi.
The 3.5-inch touch-sensitive screen cannot count on the high-resolution Retina Display: an MTK processor, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are integrated inside. Despite the appearance of a real smartphone, the Chinese clone is a standard terminal with Java support and little more. The two integrated cameras, front and back, both offer a resolution of 0.3 megapixels. The detail that is intriguing to observers and enthusiasts around the globe is the absence of the Chinese language among those supported: it seems that Air Phone No. 4 was built with the intention of marketing it outside of China, ready for international markets.
