Steinberg has announced the new version of Nuendo at AES in Los Angeles, which can now also be used natively with Mac OS X. Using a complete system for those involved in media production at various levels and in different fields, from audio production to composition, from broadcasting to post production, from surround to multimedia.
Nuendo has a multi-channel architecture for each signal: each input, audio track, group or output has up to 12 channels available, with the possibility of managing 5.1, 7.1 and even 10.2 surround.
Numerous improvements also in signal routing, the possibility of simulating different listening configurations; significant improvements also in mixing and in the import / export from other files.
Nuendo 2.0 will be available by the end of 2002 for Mac OS X and Windows 2000 / XP at a cost of * 1499. Existing registered users of any previous version of Nuendo can update to Nuendo 2.0 for * 199, keeping the same dongle and therefore being able to take advantage of the two versions of Nuendo with the VST Link system. Finally, those who purchased Nuendo after 1 October 2002 will have right to free update.
