Sony has unveiled two new compact cameras by expanding its line of cameras remotely with the models SRG-XP1 (PoV) e SRG-XB25 (fixed). The cameras offer high quality 4K images at 60p, as well as full IP connectivity, and will be available from August 2020.
Each camera equipped with a wide-angle lens with optical zoom, ideal for installation in difficult-to-reach positions and in limited spaces for standard-size cameras with dedicated operator. The cameras are not suitable as ideal for remote communication, monitoring and production of content in a wide range of sectors, such as corporate, education, healthcare, live broadcast and others.
Thanks to the use of a single network cable also for the power supply, SRG-XP1 and SRG-XB25 simplify the distribution of images and control of the camera thanks to the NDI | HX functionality, available through optional license, and to the support of functions. complete based on IP networks. Flexibility also due to the possible use with other NDI compatible hardware or software, anywhere on the network. Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) and Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) features support simple recording and distribution of audiovisual content.
The PoV SRG-XP1 camera can shoot horizontal viewing angles of more than 100 degrees. The compact and lightweight design makes it useful for contexts such as reality shows, e-sports and remote use. The fixed camera SRG-XB25 suitable for large spaces thanks to the 25x optical zoom useful for remote shooting of events, conferences, seminars and places of worship.
It is possible to produce and stream quality and real-time content using the cameras together with the manufacturer's Edge Analytics Appliance REA-C1000 solution, based on AI. Without the need for a chroma key, the SRG-XP1 makes it easy to create video content in tight spaces. The function in question allows you to remove the presenter and overlay it on any background, without requiring dedicated screens or specialized training.
The SRG-XB25 can also use the REA-C1000's zoom in conjunction with the handwriting extraction feature, to allow viewers from remote presentations to view the contents and diagrams written together with the presenter.
The SRG series currently used in healthcare facilities to monitor patients and equipment remotely. The cameras allow you to acquire, manage and distribute high-quality footage of clinical interventions live from operating rooms and clinics to conference rooms of higher institutions for training and learning purposes. Among the examples indicated by the manufacturer, the Med & Home medical system integrator from Madrid who chose the IP cameras SRG-300H and SRG-300SE as the basis for its integrated "viewLAB" video solution for nine operating rooms and surgical surgeries throughout Spain.
The remote cameras in question are also useful in the broadcast sector, offering integration with existing broadcast infrastructures thanks to a wide range of interfaces and remote control options. In particular, the BRC series cameras are widely used to capture and stream live action-based events such as sports and concerts, offering picture quality and smooth PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) functionality to those who cannot take part. You can edit footage from multiple angles in order to capture the whole scene and the most memorable moments.
