Sonica, Dolby Digital on your Mac

M-Audio presents Sonica, an external USB interface that adds digital audio outputs to your Mac, with the possibility of using Dolby Digital 5.1 to connect it to a Surround receiver.

The TrueSurround XT technology also allows you to recreate a virtual 5.1 setup using simple stereo speakers or headphones. Sonica does not require a power supply as it is provided by the USB connection.

The interface supports 24bit / 96KHz format, has a digital connector to connect it to a surround receiver or a MiniDisc, an analog connector for amplifier and speakers and supports Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC3), Dolby Pro Logic and DTS. multichannel audio required Mac OS X 10.1.5 or higher.
