Should I Upgrade to iOS 8.1.1?
Yesterday Apple made available the new version of iOS that reaches the 8.1.1 numbering introducing very few novelties for most devices but fundamental for the stability of some. Indeed iOS 8.1.1 permanently blocks the ability to jailbreak and therefore if you want to do it on your iDevices you must stay with at least iOS 8.1 and not update to the latest version. As already suggested by the Pangu team, iOS 8.1.1 brings with it the blocking of the flaw that allowed to get the jailbreak easily.
Not for all, because Apple with the latest update of iOS 8.1.1 has dramatically improved performance on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 who have so far complained of many problems and slowdowns. iOS 8.1.1 has corrected many minor fixes that allow older devices to return to at least acceptable levels.
The update to iOs 8.1.1 can be done via OTA, Over-The-Air, or by connecting the device to the PC or MAC by updating everything from iTunes and since the small update should be fast enough.
So if you want update to iOS 8.1.1 you have to take into account that you can't do it, at least for now, the jailbreak, but if owning a iPhone 4S or iPad 2 our suggestion to update because you will reap significant speed benefits on your device.
