The company has launched the brands Exynos Auto and Isocell Auto which will produce, respectively, chips and camera sensors for connected cars. The Exynos line will include chips dedicated to specific aspects of on-the-road technology, including driver assistance (Auto A), infotainment (Auto V) and telematics (Auto T). The Isocell sensors currently include three models ranging from 960p to 4K.

In a sense, Samsung is using the new connected car market to expand its semiconductor business. It will not, therefore, be solely dependent on the sales of phones and tablets.
