OnePlus has just officially presented its new top-of-the-range smartphones, that is, the 8 series that had been affected by an "avalanche" of indiscretions and teasers.
From the first rumors about the new smartphones, someone had put forward the hypothesis that the Shenzhen-based company would not focus only on OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, but would launch at least one other phone. OnePlus, at least until today, had not missed anything on this eventuality.
But just yesterday, Wednesday April 15, the company of CEO Pete Lau suggested the launch of new products on Chinese social media. Although OnePlus has not revealed the name of the mysterious device, almost everyone is convinced that it is OnePlus 8 Lite (unconfirmed name), which will be presented today at 7pm local time. A possibility, as mentioned, that does not surprise, given that already last month a tipster had said that the Chinese company would launch a third phone, even if not with the name OnePlus 8 Lite but OnePlus Z, a renewed version of OnePlus X introduced in 2015.
If the white box that is displayed on the teaser published by the company on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo really contains OnePlus 8 Lite, we can expect the phone to have a relatively lower cost compared to the two newly formalized OnePlus 8 devices, and a detail that will certainly please users.
Currently, nothing has been officially confirmed on OnePlus 8 Lite. However, some articles published in the last month had indicated the presence of a 6.4-inch display, a triple rear camera and a "hole" in the display where the front camera will be located. In addition, the phone should be equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery. For all other specifications, all that remains is to wait for the official presentation.
