Omni Group will bring its programs to the iPad – Macitynet.it
Omni Group plans to convert five major productivity applications to the iPad version. These are: OmniGraffle (creation of diagrams, plans and organization charts, compatible with Visio), OmniOutline (a tool for organizing ideas and projects), OmniPlan (project flow management with Gantt diagrams), OmniFocus (management of commitments and of activities) and OmniGraphSketcher (graphs and vector diagrams).
"Remember the first Macintosh, meant as" the computer for the rest of us "? iPad gives us the same feeling "- says Omni Group -" the best device for applications for which people use a computer; people can use it immediately, without training and regardless of their age.
Omni Group started marketing software in 1989 developing applications for NeXTSep. The company began developing Mac software to coincide with Apple's purchase of NeXT (many of the NeXT technologies are still behind Mac OS X today).
The company previously also created OmniFocus for iPhone, a software for the management of commitments and activities that won the "Best of Show Award" at Macworld 2008. Converting applications in iPad version objectively a beautiful and useful idea: the wider screen and the possibilities of the new Apple device make it an interesting and comfortable product both for the type of products made by the software house and for the typical customers of the company. Omni Group is so interested in the new device that the release of some Mac product updates will be delayed.
