The new SUV Peugeot 2008 is finally orderable, after the official presentation of this summer (we wrote an article dedicated to the engines and one dedicated to technology and interiors). The French company, whose group is in the process of merging with FCA, is focusing on the slogan "you don't buy, you drive", to highlight long-term rental options and financing.
Peugeot 2008 changes profoundly both outside and inside: the body resumes the stylistic features we saw on the new generation of 208, while the passenger compartment adopts the dashboard i-Cockpit of the latest generation, a new infotainment unit with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Among the advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and emergency braking. Enough to talk about level 2.
New Peugeot 2008 is available with power supply a petrol, diesel and 100% electric; the range is divided into four versions – Active, Allure, GT Line and GT; Starting prices vary depending on the engine. Petrol starts at € 21,050, diesel at € 23,050 and electric at 38,050 – although, Peugeot observes, monthly usage costs, including fuel costs, are equivalent in the end. The long-term rental will be available through the Free2move service, presented by PSA at the beginning of the summer, which already offers the "old" model (the site has not yet been updated). The i-Move loan offers equal installments for each engine instead.
The configurator is online on the Peugeot website; the first deliveries will start from January 2020.
