More software for Europeans
The program is called, perhaps a little obscurely, "Top 50", but the crystalline purpose: to increase the presence of Mac software also in Europe by providing customers who shop in shops with the clear idea that those who think that the Apple operating system does not have applications are wrong.
To launch the initiative, which started these days, are the managers of relations with Apple developers, to whom "Top 50" explicitly addressed. All those who join the ADC Premier and Select program can apply to be included in a list of software manufacturers who will enjoy facilities and visibility in stores in the European market.
Those who get access to the program will see their products placed in special exhibitors in about 700 (which will soon become 1000) Apple stores in Europe and will be included in a centralized order system thanks to which shopkeepers will be able to place orders, return stocks and get information on what is of interest to them.
The initiative affects all major European countries, including Italy. To be included in the list, software manufacturers will have to localize their products at least in French and German and not have a price above $ 250.
The "To 50" program aims to be fully operational on the occasion of the Apple Expo in Paris which is held from 26 to 30 September of this year, an occasion on which the first results of the operation will probably be announced.
