iPhone SE Plus could slip to the second half of 2021

In recent days Apple has launched iPhone SE 2020, arousing a small crawl space in the world of smartphone enthusiasts. The choice to offer, today, a product in some ways dated – starting from the design – has been, in the eyes of many, rather controversial, as demonstrated by the thousands of comments that appeared under the presentation article also here on HDblog.

If the latest addition to Apple is now available for pre-order on both the Apple Store and Amazon Italy, for now it's just a rumor the development of an alleged iPhone SE Plus. To support the hypothesis is Ming-Chi Kuo, expert in analyzes dedicated to the world of apple.

According to Kuo, the Cupertino house had plans to launch the Plus version of the new iPhone SE in the first half of 2021. However the launch would have been postponed to at least the second half of 2021, perhaps also because of the current emergency situation.

The alleged iPhone SE Plus should have a 5.5 or 6.1 inch display with a full screen design, similar to that of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. Also this model, like the SE just released, it shouldn't have Face ID, replaced in the function by the Touch ID integrated in the power button on the right side of the smartphone.

Due to this peculiarity, the new iPhone SE Plus should have a smaller notch than the examples mentioned above, which will host only the front camera, a microphone and the speaker. Kuo did not comment on the price of the device but, being a member of the SE family, it will probably be cheaper than Apple's flagship "colleagues".
