iPhone 3G launch June 18? logomacitynet1200wide 1

The Worldwide Developers Conference, from 9 to 13 June, has always been considered the most suitable stage for the presentation of the new iPhone. After months of speculation, the Gizomodo website today declares to have received an unofficial but practically definitive confirmation on the fateful date of June 9, the opening day of the event with Jobs's keynote.

Obviously without specifying in any way the source, Gizmodo claims that the confirmation of the presentation date of the iPhone 3G arrived from a person very, very close to the new iPhone. Also in the same article, we learn that the availability of the second generation of iPhones on the market will not be postponed in any way during the month of June or in other months of the year: iPhone 3G will be available immediately after the official presentation and on a global scale.

The article does not offer more precise information regarding the availability of iPhones in the numerous countries where it will be marketed: Gizmodo offers only one date and for one country only. On June 18 the new iPhone will be available for the inauguration of a megastore of the operator Telefonica in Madrid, while marketing in the rest of the country should begin the next day or even immediately after a few hours. Other countries would be in the same situation.

In this regard, we remind readers that, at least for the moment, there are no official communications or announcements from the Telefonica operator confirming the date and launch for Spain. In reality Telefonica, apart from some indiscretions and some "unofficial" statements from the company's manager, has not even given the formal confirmation of having an agreement with Apple.
