iPad in Italy: information on costs and booking will be arriving by today? – Macitynet.it
The first official iPad news in Italy will be available starting Monday 10 May, the day announced by Apple for the start of reservations. The big day now imminent but in the boot still nothing to know about the prices of the various models, the costs of subscriptions for the cellular Internet connection and above all not yet clear how and where iPad can be booked and then purchased first.
While the countdown is inexorably passing from days to (a few) hours the situation appears completely dark not only for users interested in iPad but also and above all for the numerous points of sale and specialized chains. Unlike the United States where Apple can count on a widespread presence in the territory with a series of directly controlled Apple Stores, in Italy there are only two direct Apple Stores, that of Rome and Milan. In the US, iPad bookings started both from the Apple store online and in the numerous stores in its chain. To these was added the Best Buy chain that offered iPad simultaneously with the Apple Stores but in a limited number of stores and with reduced availability of pieces.
In our country iPad will obviously be available for booking through the Apple online store and also at the two Apple Stores in Milan and Rome. No one yet knows for sure if the numerous Apple Premium Resellers present in different Italian cities will be authorized to collect reservations for iPad.
Ultimately, the situation in Italy on the eve of the launch of the iPad totally in uncertainty, uncertainty that cannot certainly continue until Monday: for all these reasons, it seems rather likely that Apple will decide to release new information during the day today.
