iAd, Apple's advertising platform, appears to be a real hen with golden eggs for developers. The service recently active but already very profitable. This is testified by Jason Ting, developer who recently released LED Light for iPhone 4, an application that uses the iPhone 4 LED flash and that integrates iAd.
In just one day thanks to iAd Jason has earned the beauty of 1372.20 dollars, data that the programmer has published on a forum through a screenshot that we propose below.
For those who are familiar with the indicators of online advertising, the numbers indicated by the interface of iAd are amazing: the eCPM – which corresponds to what on average Jason has earned every 1000 impressions on its application – reaches almost 150 dollars, a number incredibly high when compared to the best performance you can get online.
It is probable that in this initial phase, a little due to the curiosity of the users and the novelty of the network, iAd reaches first-rate figures, with a foreseeable progressive drop directly proportional to the drop in news.
Regardless of these assessments, with these numbers iAd will attract many developers, eager to be able to take advantage of what really seems to be a network capable of making easy money.
