Let's face it, we all ended up in awkward situations where we had to carry on a reluctant conversation. In today's world, people mainly try to avoid such situations with the help of their smartphones. Pretend to receive a call and then walk away slowly. However, pretending a call is not as easy as it seems, that is, if you don't know the right tools. Well, with the apps available today for smartphones, you can make it more realistic. If you have an iPhone, you can use it to program fake calls and make the phone ring in the middle of an embarrassing situation. To go further, once picked up, you'll even hear a fake conversation to make it look like it's a real call. So, if you're interested in trying this out, let's take a look at how to plan fake incoming calls on the iPhone:
Schedule false incoming calls on iPhone using third-party apps
Note: I tried using it on my iPhone 7 Plus and on the iPhone 6s, but it should work on older iPhones as well as on the new iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X.
We will use "Spoof Call", one of the many third-party applications available on the App Store to schedule a fake incoming call on your iPhone. The procedure is quite simple and only takes a few moments to receive your first fake call. So just follow the steps below to get this done in no time:
- First of all, download and install the Spoof Call app from the Apple App Store and open it. You will now see the main menu showing various options for the false call. Let's start with "Time" . After touching it, you will be able to plan the time to receive the fake call. By default, set to "3 seconds later". However, you can select anywhere between 3 seconds and 1 hour.
- Now if you choose the option "Caller" in the main menu of the app, you can enter the name of the fake caller to be displayed on the screen. Well, to go further, you can also change and set the ringtone for the fake call by choosing the option "Ringtone and vibration" in the main menu. Since Marimba is the most popular iPhone ringtone, we decided to go with this.
- Choosing the option "Voice" from the main menu of the app, users will be able to choose between three different items for the fake call. If you're not interested, you can also choose "None" for the call you're planning. Finally, you can also adjust the background that should be displayed while you are receiving the call. Just tap on "Background" from the main menu of the app to take advantage of this.
- Once set everything, go back to the main menu of the app and simply tap "Start call" to schedule the fake incoming call. The false incoming call will be displayed as shown below.
Find your exits from embarrassing situations with a fake call on iPhone
Well, this is a more realistic way to find the way out of embarrassing conversations, rather than simply ringing the phone ringtone. We're pretty confident that if you play smart, no one can even be sure you're using an app like that just to avoid that situation. However, it is worth noting that "Spoof Call" is not the only app for the iPhone that can do this. Other fake caller third-party apps like Fake Call Free, Prank Call, Best Fake Caller, etc. They have a similar layout and can be easily used to schedule a fake incoming call.
