Google announced the Android P Beta on stage today on Google I / O and was made available for download for many devices. An updated Pixel Launcher has also arrived with the new Android P Beta. However, many users out there still rely on the more popular third-party Android launcher, Nova Launcher. Unfortunately, many users are reporting that the launcher is not working properly on the new Android P Beta update. Well, if you are one of them, read on, while we show you a simple and effective solution for Nova Launcher on Android P Beta:
The problem with Nova Launcher on Android P Beta
Since Android Nougat introduced Pixel Launcher, most Nova Launcher users have also been using it to set their App Drawer in portrait format. However, on Android P Beta, the list of apps is not displayed correctly. Instead, everything you get a blank screen, with only a couple of apps displayed at the bottom of the screen, behind the navigation bar while opaque. You can see what I'm talking about in the screenshot below:
App Drawer in Nova Launcher on Android P does not show any app
Well, if you are one of those Nova Launcher users who have updated their device to Android P Beta, read on, while we show you how to fix the Nova Launcher application drawer on Android P Beta:
Fix Nova Launcher on Android P Beta
Note : I tried the following method on my Google Pixel 2 XL with Android P Developer Preview 2. The method should remain the same for all other devices with Android P Developer Preview 2.
1. Open Nova Settings and go up "App and widget drawers" .
2. Next, tap on "App drawer style" and select "Horizontal". In practice, this changes the Nova Launcher app selector to a paper-style view.
3. And that's all. Now when you try to open your App Drawer, the list of apps should show up perfectly.

Fix the Nova Launcher app drawer on Android P Beta
Personally, I prefer a vertical list of all my apps in the app drawer. However, until the moment Nova Launcher implements a fix for this, switching to card view seems to be the best. Nova Launcher has been having a lot of heat lately due to the lack of updates, and the developers have even stated that a new update is in progress. As such, we would only expect better compatibility of the world's most favorite Android launcher on Android P.
