Do Not Tracking a new feature of Safari 6 that allows you to prevent websites from following you!

Today there are thousands of websites that follow us during our navigation. Mainly are the social networks that thanks to their partners are able to follow all our movements from site to site and from page to page directly by analyzing the coockies that are specially and systematically positioned on our browser.

Coockies are a feature implemented in the past to allow a website to insert an identifier so that it could recognize the user on every page he visits on the same website or on every visit to the same website since the communication protocol is all now in use, HTTP 1.1, stateless and this cannot distinguish a visit to one page from another!

You have noticed that often when you log in to a website on subsequent visits, you will receive a welcome message that includes your name or username, this is only possible by leaving a coockie on your browser, or an identification code thanks to which the website is once the code has been read, it will verify the associated user.

Today websites take advantage of this feature to keep track of your browsing, to collect your preferences and anything else useful for a commercial investigation without your knowledge! Safari 6 allows you to disable this function whenever possible, just go in Safari -> Preferences -> Privacy and tick the box indicated in the image below!
