On May 3, Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery will blow out two candles. In the game, available on iPhone, iPad and Android, the user invited to create and control a Hogwarts student, thus living a sort of parallel life in the magical world created by the writer of the novel of the same name.
Almost two years after launch, the creators of the game have shared some statistics that reveal the successes since launch to date. First, as was expected, most players choose Gryffindor as their home within the Hogwarts School of Magic and Witchcraft (the same as the three protagonists Harry, Ron and Hermione). Followed in the order of preference Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff (for the most up to date known as Tassofrasso, according to the new translation) and Slytherin.
The most striking number are the total minutes of play: 35 billion, demonstrating that the game, despite let, likes and continues to like. The games of Quidditch, the sport of magicians, played in two years are 50.5 million while G.U.F.O. 2.1 million were obtained – an acronym for Single Judgment for Ordinary Fattors, the diploma obtained at the Hogwarts school at the end of the fifth year. From Lumos to Wingardium Leviosa, 2 billion spells were cast during the games while more than 400 costumes were designed.
And here comes the competition that has just been launched to celebrate the birthday: anyone who can try to design one that represents all four houses of Hogwarts and the winning team will be virtualized in the game and made available to all players. The instructions will be published during the day of April 25 on the game's official Instagram account.
Another novelty represented by the appearance of Nocturnal, the magicians' bus, on the game map. Users who have reached at least level 7 will be able to click on it to be teleported to a special room in Hogwarts Castle where they will be subjected to special challenges.
