IK Multimedia has announced GrooveMaker Rock Ace an iPhone / iPod Touch application that offers combinable loops of riffs, solos, grooves, created by Ace (stage name of Martin Ivor Ken), guitarist co-founder of the English rock group Skunk Anansie. It is possible to control up to eight tracks, play, mix and randomize loops on the fly. Loops can be manipulated in real time by setting parameters such as: pan, volume, mute, solo, group, tempo.
The grooves can be easily arranged using drag & drop, of course you can save, preview and recall the mixed tracks. Using a WiFi connection, high quality wave files can be uploaded (from a Mac or PC).
The sound library includes drums, basses, guitars, percussions, rock / metal styles. The 315 loops (280 MB of samples) are available in the 85, 95, 97,110,130 BPM variants.
