Google Pixel Buds, or the new earphones made by the Mountain View giant, are finally ready to be launched on the market in the United States. This is a very important announcement, since it certifies Google's true entry into the wireless earphone sector.
After the overwhelming success of the range of wireless headphones Apple AirPods, the segment has seen an increase in competition: just think of the products of well-known brands such as Bose and Sennheiser, those of other small companies of which little and nothing had emerged so far.
Google has announced the arrival of the new headsets in October 2019, but it took several months of development before the marketing of Pixel Buds began. Just in the last few hours, BigG has confirmed that the earphones are officially on sale in the United States, priced at $ 179 (at the current exchange rate they make about 165 euros, ed.) At the moment, the new wireless earbuds are available in only one color option, namely the Clearly White, but not said that in the near future Google does not decide to propose them also in other colors.
A key feature of the new Google Pixel Buds (which are also called Pixel Buds 2, editor's note) is hands-free access to Google Assistant. Just like smart speakers, Google Pixels also have always active microphones who listen to wake-up commands – usually "OK Google" or "Hey Google" – to check music, get information, respond to messages, or listen to notifications. The earphones are praised by experts in the sector for other peculiarities, such as for example better performance during calls, the adaptive sound (which allows you to listen perfectly to the interlocutor even in very noisy contexts) and the translation in real time.
For now, the new Google Pixel Buds are only available in the United States through select retailers (online and offline). However, Google is expected to launch its new headsets soon also in other international markets: at the moment BigG has not provided timelines in this regard.
