Microsoft also presented its smart thermostat, complete with support in Cortana; it's called GLAS, announced in July, it becomes almost reality in the USA, where you can pre-order it for 319 dollars.
The peripheral powered internally by Windows 10 IoT and has a translucent touch display. You can check the temperature, the weather, and monitor the air quality, both internal and external. GLAS will also learn the user's habits, adapting to the user's routines, always transforming them into the ideal temperature, making the necessary changes from time to time.
Users will also be able to count on the assistance of Cortana, integrated in the thermostat, and who will be able to control all the functionality of the peripheral. Thanks to the "Hey Cortana" command, you can decide to adjust the temperature, just as you can ask the voice assistant for information on the outside temperature, the weather, or other info related to the calendar.
Among the most beautiful in terms of aesthetics, there is no doubt, it lacks a bit in the price. GLAS is certainly not cheap, with its cost of 319 dollars. This is a price higher than any other intelligent thermostat: from Tado to Nest, passing through the Netatmo or Bticino one, they all have lower prices. We expect info on marketing in Italy, where Cortana is still operating.
