Ford the first manufacturer to implement iTunes HD tags – Macitynet.it
Ford has announced that it is the first car manufacturer to implement song recognition via iTunes TAG, directly integrated into car radios. The solution will be available on request for numerous Ford cars in 2010 while the solution will be shown at the CES in Las Vegas.
When the user listens to a song of his interest transmitted by HD radio, simply press a button to store the iTunes TAG: the car radio can store up to 100. To download them, simply connect an iPod to the car radio. Finally, when the pocket player is connected to a computer, iTunes presents a playlist containing all the recognized songs, offering the user the opportunity to listen to the preview and possibly proceed with the purchase.
