The possibility of finding open wifi hotspots around us arrived in the Italian app
It's been a while since Facebook introduced the ability to find open wifi hotspots in its smartphone and tablet app to connect to when the data plan is winding up or the cellular connection is upset. Unfortunately, the function remained confined to the United States only until recently, but now also available elsewhere, including Italy.
The developers they didn't exactly put it in the foreground: to find it you must first open the secondary Facebook menu, the one on the right; l, in the section dedicated to apps, just select the "show all" option to display the item related to the function in question, which is called "find Wi-Fi".
A list of shops and public places that offer an open access point (free or paid, unfortunately not specified) appears immediately in the form of a list, but can be viewed even within a map of the surroundings. The information includes name and type of premises, opening hours (when provided by the operator) and name of the detected wireless network.
Find wifi already being released and it should appear on all smartphones, Android and iOS, updated to the latest version of the app.
