With the Photo Magic function the messaging app will recognize the faces of friends in the photos taken, facilitating the sending to the right contacts
What's new for Facebook Messenger: Mark Zuckerberg's instant messaging service will take advantage of the upcoming holidays to launch in the next few daystwo interesting features for Android and iOS apps previously reserved for platform beta testers.
The first Photo Magic, which uses facial recognition algorithms to perform a quick scan of the faces present in the photos taken from within the app. Once the friends within them have been identified, the function (fortunately deactivated at will) automatically proposes to open a group of conversation to send them the images that see them as protagonists. The second is greater flexibility in the personalization of chats and groups, thanks to which they will be able set specific colors and nicknames for contacts and an emoticon to speed up the recognition of a particular conversation within the group.
They are not missing Christmas-style aesthetic additions, like the new round previews of pending chats, which with the update coming soon will show snowflakes and confetti in free fall.
