Epson, two new printers – Macitynet.it
Epson yesterday announced two new low and mid-range printers for the American market (but the C62 is already on the Italian site).
These are the C62 and C82 respectively.
The C62, which has a price of 99 $ (which in the USA thanks to a mail discount is reduced to 79 $) uses a four-color technology capable of reproducing prints at 5760 × 720 dpi. It is able to print 10 pages per minute in color and 14 pages per minute in black and white. It is also capable of printing a high quality photo in standard format in three minutes and seven seconds. It is able to perform automatic color and white balance functions and to reduce noise in images when reading produced photos but cameras compatible with the EXIF format.
The C82, which takes the place of the C80, has a resolution of 5760 × 820 and can print up to 22 pages per minute in black and white and 11 pages per minute in black and white.
The C82 can handle a drawer that holds up to 150 sheets of paper and certified for printing up to 5000 copies per month.
You know that the C82 can use special inks called Dura Bites that do not dissolve in contact with water or that do not suffer problems in the presence of humidity which makes it particularly suitable for printing sheets that can enter, even accidentally, in contact with water or that must be used in situations where normal inks would stain making the text illegible.
The C82 can be completed with a module called C82N which makes it compatible with IEEE 802.11b networks and therefore Aiport for wireless printing.
The printer costs $ 149 on the US market; the wireless module costs $ 379.
