Dropbox is getting ready for iOS 4 – Macitynet.it
Dropbox, one of the best tools to share, save and synchronize your files on different computers, which has long been available also on iPhone and iPod Touch with an official application. In the last few days, in view of the arrival of iOS4 and iPhone 4, a series of updates have been published that bring substantial news to the software: first of all, compatibility with iPad. With the last major update (1.2), Dropbox has in fact become a universal application, now allowing you to manage your files and shared folders from the larger screen of the recent Apple device. But not all, since it will be possible to export documents from Dropbox to other iPad applications, while the support for landscape viewing has been improved for owners of iPhone and iPod Touch.
Two minor patches followed, the latest of which updates Dropbox to version 1.2.2 and makes it compatible with the new iOS4 features. In fact, the application is one of the first on the App Store to already support multitasking, a feature that will allow you to replicate what one of the strengths of the computer version is: the possibility of doing something else while in the background all your files are synchronized or in waiting for a particular document. Recall that Dropbox can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
