Digital machine from 007 – Macitynet.it
8.8 centimeters wide, 5.5 centimeters high and just six millimeters thick. These are the very small dimensions of a new digital camera put on the market a few days ago by Oregon Scientific.
The machine, founded on a basic design of SmAL Technologies and called DS6618, equipped with an 8 MB internal memory capable of storing about 25 640 × 480 images or 100 320 × 240 pixels photos. The right resolution for images that essentially end up on the Internet or that do not have to produce high quality prints. The shots can be deleted just after they are taken, even if there is no LCD screen capable of showing their preview.
The DS6618 is powered by a lithium-ion battery which is recharged when connected to the computer's USB port.
The commercialization of the camera should begin these days also in Europe, where it will be sold at a recommended price of 149 euros.
