An increasingly smart and connected home where lights, shutters, thermostats and video intercoms communicate with smart speakers and apps, saving time and energy. This is the experience that BTicino– Legrand will offer visitors to the 2019 edition of the CES in Las Vegas, the world's largest technology event.
The new connected line will be the protagonistLiving Now presented in Italy last summer and on the market in our country since September in the "smart" versionwhich – explains the manufacturer – combines the best of aesthetic research with the most advanced smart technologies, with a world premiere novelty. Made by BTicino in collaboration with Netatmo, a company specialized in smart home solutions and recently acquired by the Legrand group, Living Now, like the French Celiane series already on the market for some time, allows you to manage the main functions of the electrical system: lights, shutters , energy, even remotely with an extremely easy configuration within the reach of every specialized installer.
The smart functions of Living Now can be managed with wireless commands, with a smartphone, through the Home + Control App, and with the voice assistants of Amazon, Apple and Google. Living Now can also be installed with the home automation solution My Home Up.
Still in the field of smart home and interconnected solutions, BTicino will announce important news in the video door entry system and enhance the performance of the Class 300X, the connected video door phone which, thanks to the interaction with the smartphone, allows remote management of: video door phone calls, gate opening and many other functions. A leading role will also have the Smarther connected thermostat, (reviewed by Macitynet on this page) with integrated wi-fi, to be used with the dedicated Thermostat APP.
Other brands of the Legrand group will present numerous experiences at CES 2019 to improve the quality of the working environment, from solutions for co-working and meeting rooms to those for intelligent and safety lighting. Since November of this year Netatmo has also been part of the Legrand – Bticino group and the combination will bring new products with a focus on Homekit. We will see the advances in the next few hours: macitynet interviewed Fred Potter of Netatmo and now CTO of the Legrand group.
Update: among the products presented by Legrand-Bticino at CES 2019: the Doorbell with Netatmo Video Camera, the Switches with Alexa Built in of the Living Now series and the Classe 100x smart Video Doorphone but there are other interesting news arriving on BTicino projects.
