Tomorrow the big day of the debut of iPad in Italy and many of those who are reading these lines, surely, is looking forward to the arrival of the courier who will deliver the already legendary Apple tablet or think of going to an authorized point of sale for buy one or evaluate the purchase. Macitynet journalists, after having first touched iPad in Italy on the day of the presentation, like so many other Italian "greedy" novelties, have instead been using iPad from before, to be precise from April 3 when our newspaper, the only newspaper of our country, carried out a reportage from New York to offer its readers the details of the American launch and the first impressions of use.
Fifty days of intense use, practically daily, in which 4 32 GB iPad Wi-Fi have been subjected to stress and tested in the most disparate situations: from use in intercontinental travel, to writing articles, from browsing to game, from personal messaging to the use of multimedia content. A real test, in the field, and in real situations and not (only) a laboratory test carried out in a hasty and artificial way, perhaps by someone who has the sole purpose of making assessments in the shortest possible time to create a review to be cultivated in tube. From this experience of ours that also passed through an intense and sometimes even heated exchange of experiences and opinions, a 14-page review resulted that presents our thoughts and impressions on the iPad. A long and detailed presentation of the strengths, the use, the qualities and also the defects (which also exist) of the device that keeps the world of computer and consumer electronics enthusiasts looking forward.
Our effort was to understand and then say if, how and where iPad can be useful, how it can be used and where it is limited. The strengths and weaknesses. Not a test but the story of an experience lasting almost two months that wants to be an appetizer for those who will receive their iPad tomorrow and a way to compare with their expectations and needs those who have not yet bought it and are trying to understand if it can be useful in their personal lives, in work and in leisure time.
