ATI, new Radeon for laptops
Ati today announced a version for laptops of its Radeon 7500. The processor, in fact an enhanced version of the original Radeon, represents, according to the press releases of the Canadian company, a qualitative leap and significant generation in the sector for cards of 3D acceleration. According to ATI, for example, not only is the Radeon 7500 much faster than the Radeon Mobility, but also able to outperform the GeForce 2Go by almost double its performance. The 7500 is the first laptop card to use 128 DDR memory. bit and supports up to 64 MB of video memory and integrates most of the technologies recently announced by Ati. The integrated energy saving system (up to 25%) is interesting when you use it for DVD playback. We remind you that Apple has never used Radeon Mobility or Nvidia GeForce 2GO in its machines. Currently all Cupertino laptops use the seasoned Rage 128, a card that is now two generations older than the one presented today.Ati believes that the first machines to use the new card will be available in the fourth quarter of this year, or from the next month of October.
