Arlo Video Doorbell the evolution of Arlo Audio Doorbell, the smart doorbell that allows you to answer your home doorbell from anywhere in the world via your smartphone. This enhancement of the system, the development of which was among other things correctly anticipated in April, as the name suggests, benefits from a camera capable of acquiring a video and thus allowing you to remotely watch who or what is on the house.
The peculiarity of this solution, which enters direct competition with the Ring video doorbell – presented in 2015 and widely marketed shortly thereafter, as well as having recently evolved in the Pro version – concerns the shooting angle: the vertical field of view (extra-wide 180 degrees) and therefore offers an integral view of packages and visitors.
The HD video resolution and of course the integrated two-way audio system to allow you to interact with visitors directly from your smartphone. There is also the customizable notification system thanks to which you can be promptly notified of the presence of packages, people, vehicles or animals in front of the entrance.
Arlo Video Doorbell equipped with night vision device to ensure good visibility even in the dark and can also be connected to an easily installed mechanical or digital music box with continuous power supply to be combined with the traditional bell, the one already present in the home.
It is also possible to configure quick messages to be reproduced instantly as soon as the visitor presses the bell button and the zoom option is available to tighten the frame on the subjects during the video call.
It is clearly designed to withstand bad weather and equipped with a silent mode to disable both notifications and the music box connected in one go. There is also a built-in siren which activates itself in case someone tries to tamper with the bell.
Arlo Video Doorbell will go on sale in Italy and other European countries starting from the beginning of 2020 at a price not yet announced. With the purchase – explains the company – users will receive Arlo Smart for a three-month free trial and with which they will have access to thirty days of video recordings on the cloud.
