Apple reaches one million iPads sold – Macitynet.it
Apple has reached the milestone of one million iPads sold. The announcement was made a few minutes ago by the company in the (expected) official press release. Therefore, it took less than a month to reach the symbolic threshold that is even more relevant if we consider that the launch of the device took place only on American territory while an international offer is still completely missing.
“A million iPads in 28 days are less than half the 74 days needed to reach this milestone with iPhone – reads the Apple press release quoting Apple CEO Steve Jobs. – The requests continue to exceed the supply and we are working hard to bring this magical product into the hands of many other customers ".
Apple also says that there are 5,000 iPad applications; there are over 12 million programs downloaded from the Appl Store for iPad. The eBooks are instead 1.5 million.
Recall that Apple plans to open reservations for iPad in some countries, including Italy, on 10 May.
