Apple closes the independent site "Mac Cards"
In particular, according to the lawyers who came into contact with the site's editor Simon Jones, some users could be confused by the graphics used and think that the site had to do with Apple itself. Most probably and more prosaically some suspect instead that the site, objectively very well cared for and with a series of really witty postcards and created also on special occasions and theme (remember, among others, the series for Valentine's Day) could compete directly with "Apple iCards launched with great media hype during the MacWorld Expo." My offer was to remove any logo or trademark from Apple, but the lawyers' counter proposal was to not use anything that could remind Apple and MacOs.
