Apple celebrates Chinese New Year with a short film and new Today at Apple sessions

A short film, dedicated sessions of Today at Apple and a guide to gifts: this is how Apple celebrates the Chinese New Year 2020.

Apple today shared a moving short film dedicated to three generations of Chinese women. The movie, which features Chinese actress Zhou Xun, was shot on iPhone 11 Pro. The short film, titled Daughter, one of the videos from Apple's Shot on iPhone series. In addition to the short film, Apple has also released a behind the scenes video, which shows how Melfi used the iPhone 11 Pro, to bring the touching Daughter story to life.

Featured on Apple's website in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the short film was directed by Oscar winner Theodore Melfi, in collaboration with Golden Globe nominee director of photography Lawrence Sher.

At the same time, Apple celebrates the Chinese New Year with a series of special sessions of the training moments in the Apple Store Today at Apple, called Modern Traditions, which can be attended until February 8 in the Apple Stores in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore.

Meanwhile, again for the Shot on iPhone series, Apple has just launched its second competition, dedicated to the best night mode photos taken by the owners of iPhone 11 or iPhone 11 Pro.
