Amazon recently unveiled its new Send To Kindle service. It is a convenient application that allows you to send documents from your PC directly to your online Kindle account, ready to be downloaded to a Kindle, or to one of the apps compatible with the service. Currently the applications that can take advantage of this service are the Kindle apps for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.
Despite the compatibility with the applications developed for iOS, unfortunately Send To Kindle not yet available for Mac OS, but only for Windows. Compatible formats that can be sent via the service are Microsoft Word (.DOC), Microsoft Word (.DOCX), TXT (.TXT), RTF (.RTF), JPEG (.JPEG, .JPG) GIF (.GIF) , PNG (.PNG), BMP (.BMP) and PDF (.PDF).
Just a click with the right mouse button to immediately send the document online, or you can select the option from the print menu. Pending the release of the Mac version, all Windows users will be able to send their documents to their iOS device, as well as of course to the Kindles. Send To Kindle available for free at this link.
