Bono Vox, or Paul Hewson, the singer and leader of the Irish group of U2 was in New York City to pick up the Grammy 2003 as "MusiCares Person Of The Year" he also did some shopping.

Bono's attention was focused on a magnificent 27-storey apartment building designed by architect Emery Roth in 1930 which overlooks Central Park, the San Remo Building at 145 Central Park West, between 74th and 75th streets.

Of the 136 apartments in the building, one was owned by Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO, in the north tower, a triple apartment that was now purchased by Bono for $ 14.7 million.
