BMW iPod Out supporter in its cars – Macitynet.it
Through a video released on the net, the well-known automaker BMW has announced that its future vehicles will support a very interesting but little publicized function of iOS 4, called iPod Out. This feature allows you to synchronize your iPhone (3G, 3GS, 4) and iPod Touch with an external device, so as to display the iPod interface on another screen. Obviously, in the case of BMW, iPod Out will be used to display the official Apple interface on the BMW and Mini displays, allowing you to select the music to listen, search for songs in the catalog, view album covers, start your own playlists, listen to podcasts or even listen to songs in Genius mode. All through the use of controls on the steering wheel.
At the bottom of the article we present the video released by BMW, which shows how the multimedia menu connected via iPod Out works and how it appears. Also in the video, some representatives such as Robert Passaro and Michael Weber, respectively Senior Engineer and Project Manager of the company, they explain how this new function makes listening to music using the function more intuitive, pleasant and immediate. iPod Out will be supported by BMW and Mini models from 2011.
