After the recent Alienware gaming PCs, Dell today announces the new range of Desktop PCs, notebooks and mobile workstations based on Intel Core 10th gen processors, mainly aimed at professional users. Several models presented ranging from Precision series workstation, moving on to the new notebook line Latitude and desktop PCs OptiPlex, even with All-In-One options.
DELL PRECISION 3000, 5000 and 7000 series
Let's start with the new ones Dell Precision, a range that consists of three different product lines: Dell Precision 3000, Dell Precision 5000 is Dell Precision 7000.
The line Dell Precision 3000 provides 5 models, available in desktop and notebook format; the Precision 3440SFF is Precision 3640 they represent the solutions tower, to these is added Precision 3240 USFF which, like the 3440SF, has a particularly compact form-factor.
These systems use processors Intel Core 10th gen or Intel Xeon, 2933 MHz DDR4 memory (up to 128GB) and scalable storage with SATA or NVMe SSD that can reach 10 or 20TB depending on the model; the graphics instead provide GPU Radeon Pro or NVIDIA Quadro.
Dell Precision 3550 is Precision 3551 they are instead 15 "mobile workstation, equipped with Dell Optimizer software for optimal performance. Of the two, Dell Precision 3551 is the most powerful model as it mounts Core 10th gen processors up to Core i9. In this case the graphics provide options for NVIDIA Quadro, while for the memory we always find DDR4 up to 2933 MHz and NVMe SSD storage. Of note instead that for the display the best offer is represented by an FHD panel (optional touch).
We go high with mobile workstations Dell Precision 5550 is Precision 5750respectively with 15.6 and 17.3-inch displays (up to 4K) and HDR400 certification. In this case, a lot of attention is also paid to the design, characterized by the ultra-light compact body in aluminum alloy and carbon fiber.
The hardware options in this case look to the Core 10a gen H series and the latest Intel Xeon; DDR4 RAM can be configured up to 64GB, as well as PCIe storage up to 1TB. There is also the latest generation WiFi 6 and Thunderbolt 3.0 connectivity.
Finally, for the higher end we find Dell Precision 7550 (15.6 ") e Precision 7750 (17.3 "), models that in principle take up many features of the Precision 5000 series but with decidedly more powerful GPUs that also include NVIDIA Quadro RTX5000.
It should also be noted that these new versions use the new Pro 2 keyboard and a redesigned touchpad that is 21% larger than the previous generation.
DELL OPTIPLEX 7080 AND 7780 AIO
The two models Dell OptiPlex with Intel Core 10th gen they position themselves if we want between the consumer and professional segments; Optiplex 7080 is a desktop available in tower, SFF and micro formats, while OptiPlex 7780 it is an All-In-One PC with rather interesting features.
Based on the form-factor, Dell OptiPlex 7080 it is configurable with CPU up to Intel Core i9-10900K (tower), supports dual-SSD M.2 configurations and latest generation connectivity with WiFi AX and USB 3.2 Gen 1 at 10 Gbps. In this case, the DDR4 RAM is of the 2666 type (max 64GB) while the graphics department can count on several options that see the GeForce RTX 2070 at the top.
OptiPlex 7780 is a latest generation 27-inch AiO (FHD IPS) that supports the new Intel Core i9-10900 10 cores / 20 threads. Being an AiO PC, there is little space available, which forces Dell to offer integrated Intel graphics or a GeForce GTX 1650.
This model also supports DDR4 2666, SSD M.2 PCIe 3.0 gen 4 and USB 3.2 gen 2; obviously, there is a large I / O section and high-speed WiFi AX 2×2 and Bluetooth 5.0 network.
DELL LATITUDE WITH INTEL CORE 10th GEN
The new line of notebooks is very varied Dell Latitude which also includes convertibles such as the Latitude 72102. This 2-in-1 with detachable keyboard uses Intel Core 10a gen v-Pro CPU and offers a 12.3 "FHD display. On board we find 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM, integrated iGPU and M.2 NVMe SSD up to 1 TB .
Dell Latitude 72102 weighs 854 grams and boasts AX, LTE and Gigabit LAN WiFi connectivity. There are also two Thunderbolt 3 and support for Windows Hello 4.0; the battery instead has a capacity of 38 WHr.
Also Latitude 7310 is 7410 are notebooks oriented towards the professional range, both available in 2-in-1 format, respectively with 13.3 and 14-inch displays. The choices for the panels are different and range from cheap HD with touch support to the most attractive 4K.
For processors, Dell still relies on models Core 10th gen vPro (up to Core i7) alongside 32GB of DDR4 RAM; the GPU is the Intel integrated one, the storage instead provides PCIe Gen 3.0 SSD up to 1TB. Dell offers the best security options currently available on these products, WiFi AX and LTE-A networking and Thunderbolt 3.0 support.
They close the new offer Dell the Latitude 9410 is Latitude 9510: the first with a 14-inch FHD display, the second with a 15-inch panel (always FHD) available in both notebook and 2-in-1 formats.
The two notebooks have a very similar hardware configuration, always based on Intel Core 10th gen vPro, 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and integrated Intel UHD graphics. For storage are provided NVMe M.2 2230 or 2280 SSD, the connectivity is of the latest generation (WiFi AX + LTE-A) as well as the expansion capacity which among the various ports includes two Thubderbolt 3.0.
Finally, there are advanced hardware / software security options, while as regards the operating system, we find Windows 10 Home / PRO or Ubuntu (as well as the other products seen previously).
