Garmin Marq Captain, the luxury smartwatch is now America's Cup style

Gramin Marq Captain, the luxury smartwatch of the brand, has just been presented in the new special edition American Magic Edition with the specific intent to pay homage to the history and tradition of the longest running sports competition: the Americas Cup.

In fact, the design recalls the contrasting color combination of the American Magic team that collaborated in its creation, the challenger crew of the 36th edition of the Americas Cup, the most famous trophy in the sport of sailing, as well as the oldest sports trophy in the world for which it competes still: it consists of a series of match race regattas, that is between only two yachts competing against each other.

The manufacturer presents Gramin Marq Captain as a smartwatch dedicated to those who compete at sea, but also to those who love to stand out by wearing a style accessory. The celebration of the most authentic passion for boating, especially for sailing and its prestigious, unique and select challenges. It is an accessory to wear once you get off the ground, a manifesto of a unique passion that goes beyond any distant horizon.

The strap, in soft silicone, made with contrasting colors: Blue Navy for the strap and red for the loop. These are the two official colors of the American Magic team, whose name engraved on the titanium bezel coated in mirror Blue Navy with red race accent, to define the construction parameters of the AC75.

This model also features two exclusive dials, obviously dedicated to sailing and personalized American Magic: the first, analog-style, features the T-Minus, the countdown at the start of the final challenge in Auckland in 2021; the second, in digital version, presents the profile of the Defiant, the AC75 class monohull boat that the American Magic team will use to challenge the other crews during the next Americas Cup which, except for last minute variations, will be held between Saturday 6 March and Sunday March 21, 2021.
