How to set WhatsApp dark mode on Android
For smartphones with Google's operating system, you must first download the latest version available on the Google Play store. If you have Android 10 then changing the dark mode of the system will automatically affect WhatsApp as well. The path: Settings> Display> Dark theme.
From Android 9 onwards you will have to act from the app as well as the status for the beta version. The simple procedure: tap on three dots at the top right therefore Settings> Chat> Wallpaper and Dark. The change will be immediate.
