After months of rumors and teasers, OnePlus finally launched its latest top of the range in early April. We are obviously talking about OnePlus 8 is OnePlus 8 Pro, two phones with very high level specifications, such as the processor Snapdragon 865 Qualcomm, up to 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256 GB of UFS 3.0+ space and more.
However, just as verified in the previous top of the range, the company has only included fast charging 30 W on the OnePlus 8 series. Since several other manufacturers have already released devices with support for even faster wired charging, it was reasonable to expect that the company of the CEO Pete Lau would opt for a 50 W or 65 W charging solution for the two new phones.
The disappointment did not last long, because according to what emerged on the web it seems that the Shenzhen company will guarantee this implementation in the next devices.
According to a recent article published by MySmartPrice, OnePlus has already worked on a 65 W fast charging solution, so much so that its 65 W rapid charger was recently identified in a TV Rheinland safety certification. In the image provided by the portal, the 65 W rapid charger identified in the model numbers VCA7JA, WC1007A is S065AG, and supports a maximum output of 6.5 A at 10 V.
The impression that this new 65 W fast charging solution from the company is based on OPVO 65 W SuperVOOC 2.0, which we have recently seen on some Chinese company phones: OPPO Find X2, for example, but also Find X2 Pro. A non-random choice, given that OnePlus shares charging technologies with OPPO.
OPPO's 65 W fast charging solution that can fully charge a 4,000 mAh battery in just 30 minutes and would therefore represent an excellent addition to the next top of the OnePlus range, which could be called OnePlus 8T Pro or OnePlus 9 Pro.
