It will be a coincidence, yet just two days after Apple's presentation of the 13-inch MacBook Pro update, Microsoft has unveiled the new Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3. Here are photos, features and prices.
Surface Book 3 the two-in-one hybrid laptop from Microsoft, which can be used as a tablet or laptop, obviously with full functionality. Buyers can choose between an entry-level 13-inch model, or an updated 15-inch model, each with different configurations. Microsoft claims that Surface Book 3 offers 50% more performance in the 15-inch model, compared to Surface Book 2.
At the base, the 13-inch model boasts a 10-point multi-touch PixelSense display with a resolution of 3,000 by 2,000 pixels, with a pixel density of 267 ppi. It comes with a 10th generation Quad-core Intel Core i5 processor: users can also opt for an Intel Core i7 processor, but at an extra cost.
The i5 model features the Intel Iris Plus graphics card, while the Core i7 models mount an NVIDIA GeForce 1650. RAM memory starts at 8 GB, expandable up to 32 GB during the purchase process. Storage configurations include 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe solid state drives.
15-inch Surface Book 3
The 15-inch Surface Book 3 model has a 10-point multi-touch PixelSense display with a revolution of 3,240 by 2,160 pixels, with 260 ppi. This model features a 10th generation Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor and buyers will have the choice between an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 or NVIDIA Quadro RTX 3000 graphics card. RAM memory can be 16 or 32 GB and storage configurations include 256 GB, 512 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB PCIe solid state drives.
Both models include two USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, two Surface Connect ports, a standard-sized SDXC card reader and are compatible with the Surface Dial.
Furthermore, both models also include a face authentication camera with Windows Hello support, a 5 megapixel front camera with 1080p HD video and an 8 megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p HD video. Surface Book 3 will be available, in the 13 and 15 version, starting from next June 5, starting from 1,849 euros.
Surface Go 2
The Surface Go line, the low-cost competitor of Apple's entry-level iPads, is enhanced by the new Surface Go 2 model. It features a 10.5-inch PixelSense Gorilla Glass 3 display with 10-point multi-touch and a resolution of 1,920 pixels by 1,280 pixels, which reaches a pixel density of 220 ppi.
The processor is an Intel Pentium Gold, in the basic configuration, but can be upgraded to an eighth generation Intel Core m3 processor at an extra cost. Buyers can choose between 4 or 8 GB of RAM, and between 64 GB or 128 GB of ROM memory.

Surface Go 2 offers, as far as connectivity, a USB-C port, a Surface Connect port, a Surface-type Cover port, a MicroSDXC card reader and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Surface Go 2 will be available from May 12th starting from 469 euros.
