Sorenson is also firmly entering the MPEG-4 market.
The American company, leader in codecs for video compression, today announced "Squeeze 3", a new compression system for the MPEG-4 standard capable, according to a press release, of reducing files in such a way as to make them easily usable for Internet.
Squeeze 3 capable of processing AAC digital audio and directly capturing DV video. It has a series of adjustable filters for better video quality.
Squeeze 3 will also be available in a Mac version from the beginning of next year.
Recall that Sorenson also licenses its Codecs to third parties, for integration into video products. Apple is also among Sorenson's customers and partners.
