Fitbit makes its virtual trainer free for 90 days

To combat forced sedentary lifestyle, the popular fitness service offers video and audio content

With an open letter published by CEO James Park, Fitbit officially announced that it will meet the millions of home users forced by theCovid-19 coronavirus emergency freely offering a very useful service like Fitbit Coach. It is basically one 90-day free trial – three months – premium content to keep fit in the home. Normally the service costs 44 euros per year.

In the latest post on the company blog, James Park therefore decided to open the free use of this software to help those unable to perform sports activities of any level outdoors or in gyms and the like. very important not to abandon training, since it sport stimulates the production of endorphins and can give a big hand in this particular condition of forced stay at home.

The special offer includes 90-day free trial accessible in-app which, however, can be deactivated at any time, even before the natural conclusion. You will have the opportunity to access all the content parterre of the Fitbit Coach subscription with a unlimited number of personalized video exercises, audio coaching sessions for different disciplines andlistening to Fitbit Radio which includes seven different stations with different instructors and intensity levels.

In addition to Fitbit Coach, forty premium contents of the official mobile app will also be open for free use. Outside Italy, the 90-day free trial also open to Fitbit Premium, not present by us.

The Fitbit CEO also stressed that the company is collaborating with the medical authorities by providing (secure) access to the data collected by wearable devices as it has been shown how they can be useful for improve estimates on the evolution of the spread of flu phenomena.
