Bose announces SoundLink Micro, the smallest bluetooth speaker in the entire line up, even more portable, but without sacrificing robustness. Small sizes and weight make it an ideal companion for use with smartphones and tablets. Here are the features and prices.
With 9.83 cm in width and depth, 3.48 cm in height, Micro is also among the lightest portable speakers in the category: 290 grams. Bose tends to point out, however, that Micro really is such, only until the moment it is turned on and bets on the fact that no other audio speaker of this size is able to stand the comparison. Among other features, Micro features IPX7 waterproof certification, and allows you to interact with Siri or Google Assistant, so that you can also give voice commands.
Inside equipped with a new transducer, miniaturized opposite passive radiators, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which offers up to 6 hours of playback, with a BT signal range of up to 9 meters.
Externally in silicone, it has a soft shell that protects it from scratches, dents, cracks, bumps, falls, dust, dirt and sand. Also equipped with a strap on the back, it can be easily attached to bags, backpacks, bikes, portable refrigerators and other tools. The manufacturer places great emphasis on simplicity of use, also thanks to the use of simple voice commands to perform Bluetooth pairing, while the multifunction button on the small speaker allows you to manage calls and access the VPA with a single touch, without having to take smartphone in hand.
Micro can be used in conjunction with the Bose Connect app, thanks to which it is possible to synchronize multiple speakers for the Stereo mode (left-right channel) or to activate the Party mode and transmit music simultaneously on multiple speakers.
SoundLink Micro will be available in black, midnight blue and bright orange, starting from September 21, 2017, at a price of 119.95 euros, at the official website and authorized dealers. From today, however, it is possible to pre-order them at this address.
