Last year OnePlus presented its smartphone series OnePlus 7, with OnePlus 7 Pro true "flagship". The "Pro" variant of that series, in fact, managed to raise the level of the Shenzhen-based company even further.
OnePlus 7 Pro probably the smartphone that most of all helped to spread smartphone displays high refresh rate. A trend that has seen further improvements with the OnePlus 7T series and that will certainly have others also with the upcoming OnePlus 8 series.
However, CEO Pete Lau's company also focused heavily on updates, with OxygenOS software being constantly improved and updated very frequently with bug fixes and new features. In the past few hours, several devices from that OnePlus series are receiving new stable OxygenOS updates, which bring the latest March 2020 security patch and much more. The phones in question are OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7 Pro 5G and 7T Pro 5G McLaren Edition.
The OxygenOS update for OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro includes the latest security updates from March 2020 (both devices were running the January 2020 patches in the previous stable update), RAM management optimizations and several stability corrections.
There is also an improvement in stability for the slow motion video recording and the resolution of the random disappearance of screens in the Gallery.
As for OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, the update introduces the March patches and bug fixes, but also the support for 5G connectivity for the LTE CA combination. Moving forward, the update implements the March 2020 patches on OnePlus 7T Pro 5G, general improvements (with elimination of some small criticisms) and improvements in 5G functionality.
