On the horizon there are HD more and more capacious and smaller. To announce a progressive miniaturization of large hard disks an announcement today by Toshiba. The Japanese company, specializing in 2.5-inch HD, has in fact made it known that it has introduced 48.8 GB plates per square inch, which means 30 GB per platter for 2.5-inch discs, or 60 GB for a standard HD, with two platters. Obviously a 60 GB disc is not an absolute novelty; the element of interest that thanks to the increase in density it will be possible to build thinner and lighter discs without sacrificing capacity.
